Angela Davis

Angela Davis has truly lived a full life. As a political activist, philosopher, academic, scholar, and author, Davis’ work has mainly focused on the abolition of prisons. She co-founded Critical Resistance, which is an organization that seeks to end the prison-industrial complex. In the 1980s, Davis was the Communist Party’s candidate for vice president two separate times. To this day, Davis continues to give lectures at schools throughout the US.
